Spring is here, and so are new menu items. As we say goodbye to winter and look towards the fresh ingredients the restaurant industry is clamoring for, the possibilities for new dishes are endless.

Dumpling Time (San Francisco, CA) - Fresh Spring Rolls, Noodles, and Scallion Pancakes

Springtime has definitely reached California with Dumpling Time’s incredible menu. Bright, fresh, and fragrant, these old favorites are redone and revitalized just in time for their patio to open! These traditional dishes are the recipes of the mother of Kash Feng, the Omakase Restaurant Group’s owner. Any Chinese restaurant would do well to take notice of how to keep a well-loved favorite fresh.

Pizza Boca Lupo (San Jose, CA) - Chicken Bacon Pizza

This Friday pizza is the perfect option for outdoor beer and perfect weather. This is the kind of pizza that sticks to your bones to kick off the weekend, and with that fresh green scattered on top, it has the perfect combination of heavy and light. Pizza Boca Lupo crafts these artisanal pizzas, and Friday through Sunday, you can dine al fresco at the plaza, while the rest of the week, you can dine in the San Pedro Square Market tents. Did we mention they’re heated?

Hi/Fi Taco (Washington DC) - Orange Soda Braised Carnitas Tacos

Who knew that orange soda and carnitas went together so well? We love Hi/Fi’s new tacos at famed The Roost Dining Consortium, a great sweet and spicy way to kick off springtime. Bold combinations and flavors are the way to Bbot’s heart, and as restaurants and food halls re-open, this is exactly how you stand out from the crowd.

Le District (New York, NY) - Ice Cream Sundae

Don’t forget dessert! Warm weather means it’s ice cream time, and Le District in New York’s Battery Park has the kind of sundae you’d see in a cartoon. It’s perfect with fresh bananas, multiple ice cream flavors, with a French twist that they’re known for. Sit on the Marina and enjoy the cool taste of something sweet!
