Bbot to be acquired by DoorDash

Steve Simoni

Bbot is thrilled to announce that we’ve entered a definitive agreement to be acquired by DoorDash. Helping businesses expand their hospitality and service efforts through technology has been at the core of what we’ve done for the last five years — and as a part of DoorDash, we’ll be able to help even more businesses.

What does this mean for us?

The Bbot team will continue business as usual for the time being, now with additional DoorDash resources. As always, our priority remains delivering a best-in-class experience for merchants.

What does this mean for you?

You’ll get the same level of service you’ve come to expect from Bbot — with one additional perk. As a part of the acquisition, DoorDash will be waiving monthly subscription fees for our digital in-store and online ordering products through August 31, 2022.

"Tartine started using Bbot for online ordering and delivery in 2020 to help build a direct relationship with our customers across multiple locations. The Bbot solution allowed us to incorporate the Tartine brand experience with our online ordering platform. With Bbot as a partner, we have been able to streamline the guest experience and gain valuable insights into ordering trends, as well as build loyalty with our customers." - Jillian Ressler, VP of Brand at Tartine Bakery in San Francisco

Thank you.

This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without you. Your passion inspires the tireless work of our team and drives the hours we’ve spent together listening to customers’ pain points, designing and building solutions, and truly thinking through how to better support restaurants and the hospitality industry as a whole.

We’re also deeply grateful to our customers for supporting us, suggesting new features, trusting us with their business, and helping us grow.

The whole team at Bbot is beyond excited about this partnership and the impact we hope to create for restaurants across the United States and beyond. Read the full press release here
